Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017!

2016’s run around the sun turned out to be pretty darn nice for this traveler. Many thanks to all the friends, family, clients, newly met folks, and complete strangers who made it so. I’ve got a huge backlog of images to process from this year’s travels in Oregon, California, Montana, Wyoming, Trinidad & Tobago, and Hawaii. Favorite Photos of 2015

Looking over the photos we’ve made in the past year is always an interesting and informative exercise. Time to reflect on places we went, what we observed, and what we experienced. Thank you for your time

Google+ recently sent me a Notification that a person named Margarita had added me to her Circles. I clicked on the link, which took me to the profile of someone I’ve never met, in person or online, someone who posts their photos on G+. Looking at what they’ve posted so far, images typical of a not-very-advanced amateur nature photographer, I’m not likely to click “+”, Favorite on Flickr or “Like” on FB, or gush over in Comments when I view their [read more …]

Wandering Wins Again

Last Spring, after extensive research, hours of planning and an eye on the weather forecast, I visited the Columbia River Gorge, hoping to make some really great photographs of glorious wildflowers with a backdrop of gorgeous Gorge scenery.
